My clients benefit from aesthetics and ethics in communication. It starts with a sustainable design and does not stop with climate-neutral printing. Combining design with ecology is fun for me and brings my customers real added value.

My PhD thesis was about Pharmaceuticals disposal on a sustainable point of view. One of my recomendations is rethink the design of pharmaceutical's package and the design of pharmaceutical's services (specially on drugstores). Since them, I have an Instagram showing bad packages (easily broken, with disproportion between the size of the package and its content). @farmaciadomestica is an open and free data base of what is not working and designers could help to change, it's a permanent campaing and welcome any picture of bad experience consuming products to improve health.

Taking into account every part of the process of designing and producing digital media, products or services. Being ethical about what kind of product or service are we creating. Being inclusive and always think about how can this benefit people.

Design is one of the key practices that can help building a sustainable world both for us humans and our eco-system. My goal is to use Design Thinking approaches to invent creative solutions that can solve big problems inherent to our current unsustainable model: biodiversity collapse, global warming, plastic pollution, agriculture model, energy saving, transportation, retail ... I intend to make these questions a systemic approach to my work in the field of digital innovation.

I believe that sustainable design is not a choice but an imperative.

Prasanta Kr DuttaIndividualIndia

In the digital age, sustainable development in any field requires proper usage of information. And with big data comes great responsibilities. Not only do we need to apply systems level thinking to how we deal in information, but also use it to render appropriate services to those that need them. And given that information is power, we should also be careful about who controls and wields it. A truly free and empowered world is one where the power is not held by one but all - a decentralised system of the people, by the people and for the people. Also, we should not hesitate to understand and embrace new technologies.
